Nancy R. Rotering

Nancy R. Rotering is the current mayor of Highland Park, Illinois, a position they have held since 2013.

Prior to their current role, Rotering served as a legislative aide for Rep. Karen May from 2008 to 2010. In this role, they were responsible for legislative analysis, constituent research and communications.

Rotering also served on the Highland Park City Council from 2009 to 2011 and on the Highland Park Planning Commission from 2006 to 2009. Additionally, they served on the Highland Park Environmental Commission from 2005 to 2006.

Rotering is a member of the state of Illinois Lake Michigan Wind Energy Committee and the Lake County Water Supply Advisory Committee. Nancy is also the president of the Northwest Municipal Conference and a member of its Executive Committee.

Nancy R. Rotering attended the University of Chicago Law School and received a JD. Nancy also has an MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management in Health Services Management, Marketing, and Finance. Nancy's undergraduate degree is in Economics from Stanford University.
