Joana Edwards has extensive experience in philanthropy communications and stakeholder engagement, currently serving as Senior Director of Philanthropy Communications at City of Hope since June 2016. In this role, Joana creates strategic communications for enterprise leaders and generates impactful reports to enhance philanthropic support. Prior to this, Joana held various positions, including Associate Director of Alumni Relations at LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, where efforts focused on donor engagement and scholarship development. Joana's experience also includes roles as Grants Coordinator at Legacy Charter School and Development and Community Giving Coordinator at The Children's Museum of the Upstate, demonstrating a strong background in grant writing and program management. Joana's early career included work as Program Coordinator at the Hispanic Alliance of SC, conducting needs assessments and community engagement initiatives. Joana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UCLA.
