Facilities Space Planner at City of Hope

Kristin Ellingsen, CHID, NCIDQ, EDAC, is a seasoned facilities space planner currently employed at City of Hope since April 2020. With extensive experience in healthcare interior design, Kristin held multiple leadership roles with the American Academy of Healthcare Interior Designers from January 2017 to December 2022, including Immediate Past President, President, President-Elect, Secretary/Treasurer, and Director. Prior to current endeavors, Kristin owned KE DESIGN INC, providing interior design services for healthcare and living communities from October 1998 to December 2020. Additional experience includes serving as a Healthcare Specialist at Office Furniture Group and an Interior Designer/Project Manager at Snowden Design Group. Early career experience includes an Interior Design Assistant role at Delma Pacifica Corporation, which managed facilities such as hospitals and retirement communities. Kristin holds an AA in Interior Design from Orange Coast College and a Professional Certificate in Gerontology from California State University, Fullerton, along with education from Cairo American College.
