Marta Jankowska is an Associate Professor at City of Hope since March 2021, leading interdisciplinary research on environmental factors and health outcomes, particularly cancer and metabolic disorders, utilizing geospatial approaches and advanced statistical methods. Jankowska also serves as an AI/ML Mentor for the AIM-AHEAD Consortium, guiding early career faculty in the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to large public health data sets. As a Fulbright Scholar at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, Marta is furthering academic inquiries. Jankowska previously held positions at UC San Diego as a GIS Specialist and Assistant Research Scientist, focusing on environmental impacts on health using innovative technologies. Early career experience includes being CEO and Co-Founder of ChuckAlek Independent Brewers, and conducting GIS consulting for various organizations. Jankowska holds a PhD in Geography from San Diego State University along with an M.S. in Geographic Information Science and a B.A. in Political Theory.
