Shiu W.

Shiu (Alex) W. currently serves as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Scientific Officer at City of Hope, overseeing project management for various initiatives and providing support for the newly launched Department of Integrative Translational Sciences. Previously, Shiu held multiple roles at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California, including Program Director for Finance and Operations, where responsibilities encompassed finance, human resources, and research administration. Earlier positions include Contracts and Grants Manager and Fund Manager at the University of Southern California and the University of California at San Diego, respectively, with extensive experience in grant management, financial oversight, and compliance. Shiu is pursuing an MBA at W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from UC San Diego.
