Melissa Chiodo

Melissa Chiodo has extensive experience in law enforcement, with their most recent position being Chief of Police at the City of Inver Grove Heights since May 2019. Prior to this, they worked at the Minneapolis Police Department, where they held various roles such as Commander, Commander of the Internal Affairs Division, Commander of Special Crimes Investigations, Lieutenant in the Special Crimes Investigative Division, Patrol Lieutenant, Patrol Sergeant, Police Sergeant, and Police Officer. Melissa Chiodo completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communications and English from St. Catherine University between 1991 and 1995. Melissa then pursued further education and obtained their Masters degree in Criminal Justice Leadership from Concordia University-St. Paul, completing it between 2008 and 2010.
