Caleb West serves as the Assistant Chief of Police for the City of Carrollton since May 2007, overseeing the Administrative Services Division, which includes the Personnel Unit, Training Unit, and Professional Standards. West also holds the position of Special Operations Commander for the NORTEX Metro SWAT team, collaborating across multiple jurisdictions including Carrollton, Addison, Farmers Branch, and Coppell. Previously, West was a Police Sergeant supervising both the Patrol Division and a Covert Investigations Unit focused on narcotics and vice offenses. Before joining the City of Carrollton, West served in the United States Marine Corps from 2003 to 2007 as a Sergeant with the Marine Corps Security Force Company at Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic in Kings Bay, GA. West holds a Graduate Certificate in Leadership, Executive, & Administrative Development from Texas Christian University, a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from American Military University, and has completed the 113th ILEA School of Police Supervision and PERF SMIP Session 92.
