Mitchell Sorrells

Mitchell Sorrells has extensive experience in law enforcement, serving as a Law Enforcement Officer for the City of Jacksonville Beach since September 2014 and previously at the Marion County Sheriff's Office from November 2007 to August 2014. Prior to these roles, Mitchell served as a Corporal in the US Marine Corps from June 2002 to December 2009 and worked as an Officer for the Florida Department of Corrections between November 2004 and November 2007. Mitchell's career began as a Mail Clerk at Bank of America from March 2003 to November 2004. Education includes a Bachelor of Applied Science in IT Management from Florida State College at Jacksonville (2016-2019), an Associate's degree in General Studies from Colorado Technical University (2009-2011), a Law Enforcement Cross-Over from Santa Fe College (2009-2010), a Corrections Certification from the College of Central Florida (2005), and a high school diploma from Sandalwood High School (1998-2002).
