Jeff Cowart is an experienced environmental professional with over three decades in the field. Currently serving as the Environmental Scientist Supervisor at the City of Jacksonville since April 2002, Jeff manages the assessment and remediation of multiple petroleum cleanup sites. Previously, Jeff held positions as an Environmental Scientist, supervising ambient air monitoring activities, and as an Environmental Specialist focused on landfill monitoring and permitting in Duval County. Prior to his time at the City of Jacksonville, Jeff worked as a Research Associate at Ashland, formerly BetzDearborn, Inc. & Hercules, Inc., from September 1989 to October 2001. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from the University of Central Florida, earned in 1989.
