Vanessa Baffour-Singletary

Vanessa Baffour-Singletary serves as the Director of Communications and Public Relations for the City of Jacksonville since July 2023, where significant contributions include launching a comprehensive brand kit and designing impactful presentation materials. Previously, Vanessa held the role of Community Relations Manager and Senior Associate at Teach For America from May 2019 to May 2023, focusing on DEI strategy, communication updates on government affairs, and recruitment systems management. Prior experience includes serving as Chief of Staff at Candor Brands, where Vanessa improved organizational efficiency and client conversion, and as Office Manager at Rivercity Science Academy and Lead Youth Coordinator at CIL Jacksonville, where Vanessa successfully expanded mentorship programs and coordinated logistics for advocacy initiatives. Vanessa holds a Master's degree in Organizational Leadership from Evangel University and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of North Florida.
