Joyce Watterman is a dedicated community leader with extensive experience in public service and non-profit management. As the founder of the Jersey City Women’s Advisory Board, Watterman advocates for women's representation in local governance. Serving as an Affordable Housing Trust Fund Commissioner, Planning Commissioner, Council At Large, and Council President for the City of Jersey City since July 2013, Watterman plays a key role in urban development and community initiatives. In addition, Watterman has been the Executive Director of CFCC Hope Center since December 2010, focusing on creating a safe environment for children's development through afterschool and summer programs. Since June 1996, Watterman has also served as Pastor at Continuous Flow Christian Center and held the position of Acting President at WPCNJ in 2011. Watterman holds a Master of Ministry Leadership from Pillar College and a BA in Organizational Leadership from Somerset Bible College.
