Paul Barrett

Paul Barrett is an experienced human resources professional with a strong background in managing HR functions across diverse sectors, including government and luxury hospitality. Currently serving as the Executive Manager of People & Culture at the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder since September 2022, Paul has previously held significant roles such as Manager and Acting Director of Workplace Relations at the Department of Transport. Paul’s expertise includes overseeing complex industrial relations activities, improving organizational capabilities, and implementing change management plans. Notable achievements include reducing employee turnover and enhancing cultural awareness in previous positions, as well as driving compliance and improving employee engagement scores. Paul holds a Master's degree in HR Management and Industrial Relations from the University of Hertfordshire and a Bachelor of Arts from De Montfort University.
