Laurie Sheldon is an experienced municipal finance professional currently serving as Treasurer for the City of Kentwood since 2005, overseeing city funds, property tax collection, and financial integrity. In addition to this role, Laurie has held positions as City Commissioner and Vice Chair of the Planning Commission, focusing on master planning and zoning changes for the city. Previous experience includes campaign consulting at Ballot Box Consulting, where Laurie specialized in candidate elections and ballot measures, and roles at Spartan Stores and Organon Pharmaceuticals, developing marketing strategies and promoting pharmaceutical products, respectively. Laurie holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management and Marketing, as well as an Associate degree in Science from Davenport University.
