Sherry Barnum is an experienced Recreation Program Coordinator currently working for the City of Kentwood since June 2023. Previously, Sherry served as Recreation Coordinator for the City of Plano from November 2015 to June 2023, where responsibilities included researching and implementing recreation programs, organizing community outreach initiatives, and fostering partnerships with local entities. Earlier career roles encompassed Staff Writer at Sunrise Printing & Publishing, Inc., where Sherry coordinated community news coverage and designed publications, and a Substitute Teacher at Standish-Sterling Central High School. Sherry holds a Master of Arts in Sports Administration and a Bachelor's of Applied Arts in Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies from Central Michigan University.
