Melanie Knowles

Melanie Knowles, P.Eng. is a skilled project manager and engineering professional with extensive experience in the public works sector. Currently serving as a Project Manager in Construction for the City of Kingston since May 2023, Melanie previously held the role of Manager of Engineering and Operations at the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville from February 2016 to June 2023, overseeing capital construction and operations. Prior to that, Melanie worked as a Project Engineer at Ainley Group, focusing on bridge and culvert designs, and as a Structural Designer at Dillon Consulting Limited, where responsibilities included inspecting and designing rehabilitation projects. Melanie began the career as an Engineering Student with the City of Ottawa, where exposure to contract administration and construction site inspections was gained. Educational qualifications include a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering from Western University and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Civil Engineering from Queen's University.
