Jason Lafferry

Jason Lafferry has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Jason currently works as a Sr. Applications Analyst Database Administrator at the City of Kirkland since April 2021. Prior to this, Jason worked at Expedia Group, starting as an SDE II from December 2018 to April 2021, and then transitioning to a Technical Program Manager II from February 2017 to December 2018.

Before Expedia, Jason was employed at Microsoft for several years, starting in February 2012 and ending in February 2017. During their tenure at Microsoft, Jason held the role of Xbox BI SQL Engineer. Jason was responsible for creating and developing the first recognized Microsoft Xbox BI system, which included revenue, advertising, and in-game telemetry data for all devices and platforms. Jason also played a crucial role in prioritizing, designing, and implementing solutions related to Master Data Management, Customer metric reporting, and system performance monitoring.

Prior to Microsoft, Jason worked at Microsoft (through CompuCom) as a Finance Solution Delivery SQL DBA and MS Sales Tier 2 Support from May 2010 to February 2012. In this role, they maintained the Finance Service Desk's SQL database and provided support for multiple SQL servers. Jason also collaborated with the Operations team to identify data quality issues and created SQL Server Reporting Services reports for Solution Management, Data Management, and partner teams. Before this role, they worked as HeadTrax Tier 2 Support from April 2008 to May 2010.

Jason's work experience also includes a role as a Technical Supervisor at Comcast Cable from November 2006 to April 2008 and as an Incident Response Technician at Washington Mutual from April 2004 to November 2006. Jason started their career at the University of Washington IT Services as a Senior Computing Analyst in an unknown time frame during 2003 and worked until 2004.
