Lynn Zwaagstra

Lynn Zwaagstra has a range of work experience in various leadership positions. Lynn is currently the Director of Parks and Community Services at the City of Kirkland, a role they have held since May 2016. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Campus Recreation at the University of Arizona from June 2011 to May 2016. Lynn also worked as an Instructor at the Wilderness Medicine Institute of NOLS from 1999 to 2013. Lynn'sexperience as a Director of Recreation includes positions at the Town of Frisco from September 2010 to June 2011, and at the Town of Breckenridge from March 2005 to August 2010. Lynn also served as the Director of Outdoor Recreation in the US Navy from 2003 to 2005. Lynn's early career included an Associate Director role at Weber State University's Campus Recreation department from 2000 to 2003.

Lynn Zwaagstra obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Illinois State University, where they attended from 1988 to 1992. Lynn further pursued their education at the University of Utah, earning a Master's degree in Parks and Recreation Management, which they completed from 1995 to 1997.
