Jeffery Silcox-Childs

Jeffery Silcox-Childs currently serves as the Director of Parks and Cemeteries for the City of Kitchener, a position held since February 2023. Prior to this, Jeffery was the Director of Parks, Forestry and Cemetery Services at the City of Waterloo from December 2016 to February 2023. Jeffery's career also includes roles as Manager of Parks, Cemeteries, Forestry and Horticulture in St. Catharines and Manager of Parks Services, Supervisor of Horticulture, and Landscape Architect - Project Manager in Vaughan. Jeffery's experience extends to academia as an Instructor in Plant Knowledge at Humber College in 2011-2012, and earlier roles include serving as a Landscape Architect - Project Coordinator in Mississauga. Jeffery holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of Victoria, a Master's Certificate in Municipal Leadership from Schulich School of Business at York University, and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph.
