Melissa M. McCollum

Melissa M. McCollum, AICP, LEED-AP, currently serves as the Chief Development Officer for the City of Kyle, TX, starting in January 2024. Prior to this role, McCollum held the position of Director of Development Services and Director of Planning for the City of Buda, TX, from December 2019 to January 2024. Previous experience includes serving as Planning Manager for the City of Cedar Park, Director of Planning and Development for the City of Bastrop, and Chief Planner for the City of San Marcos. McCollum began a career in planning as a Planner for the City of Georgetown and worked as a Community Planner for BWR Corporation. Educational credentials include a Master's degree in Multi/Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas State University and a Bachelor of Science in City/Urban, Community, and Regional Planning from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo.
