Bruce Fountain Aicp, Edfp, Mpa

Bruce Fountain, AICP, EDFP, MPA has extensive experience in community development, planning, and economic development. Bruce is currently the Community Development Director for the City of La Vista. Prior to this role, they served as the President of the American Planning Association-Nebraska Chapter from 2018 to 2019. Bruce also held the position of Director of the Planning & Building Department for Sarpy County from 2011 to 2019. Before that, they worked as the Director of Business Development for the Sarpy County Economic Development Corporation. Bruce has also worked for Schemmer as the Manager of Planning & Economic Development and for ALDI USA as a District Manager. Bruce has a background in economic development and served as the Director of Economic Development for the Olathe Chamber of Commerce. Bruce's career began at the City of Des Moines as a Project Manager in Economic Development and as an Associate Planner for the City of Port St. Lucie.

Bruce Fountain, AICP, EDFP, MPA, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Community & Regional Planning from Iowa State University between 1982 and 1986. Bruce later pursued their education at Drake University, where they obtained a Master's degree in Public Administration (MPA) from 1992 to 1995. In addition to their educational background, Bruce Fountain is also an AICP Certified professional, having obtained the certification from the American Institute of Certified Planners in June 1991.
