Debbie Wilmot

Debbie Wilmot, CPC, serves as the Communications Director and Public Information Officer for the City of Lafayette, Colorado, since April 2006, overseeing public communication strategies including public relations, media relations, City branding, and social media management. Debbie also handled marketing and community relations prior to the current role, developing communication direction, managing press relations, and designing collateral materials. Previously, Debbie held the position of Operations Manager at Yellow Scene Magazine, focusing on enhancing organizational productivity, and served as Account Executive responsible for print advertising sales. Additionally, Debbie contributed as VP Membership for Toastmasters International - Erie Expressors, promoting communication and leadership skills. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Certified Public Communicator designation from Texas Christian University.
