Heath Frederick is an experienced public works director with a career spanning over a decade, currently serving as the Director of Public Works for the City of Lakeland since April 2016. Previously, Heath held the same title at the City of DeLand from May 2010 to May 2016, where responsibilities included overseeing large employee groups managing city trees, urban beautification, and stormwater operations. Earlier, Heath directed public works for the City of Tavares from June 2006 to February 2009, managing stormwater and sanitation operations, developing a $17 million budget, and supervising staff. Educational qualifications include a Master of Public Administration from the University of Central Florida and a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management from Faulkner University.
