Susan Cook, PHR, SHRM-CP, is an experienced HR professional currently serving as an HR Assistant with the City of Lakeland since November 2016, where involvement includes managing the Values in Progress Awards, Milestone Service Awards, and various events, implementing process improvements that have saved the City money. Previous roles include Recruiting Manager at BAYADA Home Health Care from May 2015 to April 2016, where Susan oversaw talent acquisition for one of the largest home health agencies in the USA, and Talent Acquisition Consultant at Lakeland Regional Health from August 1999 to March 2015, focusing on recruiting for diverse sectors. Early experience at Lakeland Regional Health from 1995 to 1998 as an HR Assistant/Generalist included recruiting, onboarding, and training new staff. Susan holds a Bachelor of Science in Management from Nova Southeastern University and an Associate's degree in Radio Television Communications from Iona University.
