Teresa Maio is a seasoned planning professional with extensive experience in urban planning and management. Since March 2009, Teresa has held various key positions at the City of Lakeland, including Assistant Director, Planning and Housing Manager, Planning Manager, Chief Planner, and Principal Planner. Prior to this, Teresa served as a Senior Urban Planner at URS Corporation from October 2006 to January 2009 and as a Project Manager at Metro Development Group from November 2005 to October 2006. Teresa's earlier experience includes serving as an Executive Planner for Hillsborough County and as a Historic Preservation Planner for the Florida Division of Historical Resources. Teresa Maio holds a Master of Science in Architectural Studies and a Bachelor of Design, both from the University of Florida College of Design, Construction and Planning.
