Yermie Santiago currently serves as a Humanitarian Assistance Specialist with the Florida State Guard and as Team Leader for PC-CERT Battalion 1 at the Polk County Fire Department. In addition to these roles, Yermie has continuously worked with the City of Lakeland as both a Water Utilities Engineering Technician and a Public Worker since March 2018. Previous experience includes positions as an Independent Programming Student, Park Attendant-Specialist at Universal Orlando Resort, and Master-At-Arms in the US Navy, where responsibilities included security and law enforcement duties. Earlier work experience includes serving as a Photo Laboratory Technician at Sam's Club. Yermie holds an A.S. in Computer Programming & Analysis from Valencia College and is currently pursuing further education at the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service.
