Mike Whiteaker

Mike Whiteaker is an experienced transportation engineer with a career spanning over three decades in various roles related to traffic engineering and management. Currently serving as the City Transportation Engineer and Traffic Engineering Manager for the City of Lakewood since January 2014, Mike has previously held positions including ITS Manager for the City of Bellevue and Manager at the Spokane Regional Traffic Management Center. Early in the career, Mike gained valuable engineering experience with the Washington State Department of Transportation. A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Traffic was obtained from the University of Washington, where studies were completed from 1984 to 1990.
