Brian Funk was born and raised in Indianapolis. He is a graduate of Cathedral High School and Ball State University. Brian began his career with LFD September 16, 2000 and was promoted to lieutenant in 2008 and became battalion chief in January 2016. His certifications include Ropes Tech, SW Tech, former Diver, CSR, HazMat Tech, Instructor II & III, and FO II.
