Colleen Mathews Bowen currently serves as a Human Resources Specialist for the City of Lenexa, a position held since August 2012. Prior to this role, Colleen worked as an Executive Recruiter on a temporary assignment for UMB Bank, focusing on candidates within the banking and finance sectors. Colleen's extensive experience in executive recruitment includes a significant tenure at EFL Associates, where leadership solutions were provided to various client organizations. Earlier in career history, Colleen served as a Corporate Recruiter and Human Resources Generalist at Lockton Companies, overseeing recruitment for all levels of the organization. Colleen began professional journey as the Manager of Human Resources at The Kansas City Star, managing employee relations and human resources functions. Colleen holds a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish/Sociology from Benedictine College and a Master of Arts in Human Resources from Ottawa University.
