Tasha Hammes is an experienced communications professional with a diverse background in public relations and media relations. Currently serving as a Communications Specialist for the City of Lenexa since September 2019, Tasha previously held the position of Communications Assistant within the same organization. Tasha's experience includes significant roles at the Kansas City Area Development Council as Manager of Media Relations & Marketing and as a Consultant for Tasha Hammes Public Relations. Additional experience includes positions at Cerner Corporation and Crossroads Christian Church, along with foundational roles as a Communications Intern at both the Kansas City Area Development Council and the University of Kansas School of Nursing. Tasha holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Ecology and Mass Communications from Kansas State University, emphasizing Public Relations.
