Reed Edwards has an extensive work experience spanning over several years. Reed currently holds the position of Chief Deputy City Attorney at the City of Little Rock, a role they began in February 2023. Prior to this, from March 2022 to February 2023, they worked as an Of Counsel at Spicer Rudstrom, PLLC, where they handled defense litigation in Arkansas State and Federal Courts.

Before joining Spicer Rudstrom, Edwards founded their own law practice called Reed R. Edwards, Attorney at Law in 2012. As the Managing Attorney, they successfully developed and expanded the practice, with a focus on business litigation and commercial transactions. Reed handled various commercial litigation cases, including breach of contract actions, non-compete and trade secret lawsuits, first-party insurance coverage disputes, and satellite anti-piracy litigation.

Between 2010 and 2012, Edwards served as Litigation Counsel for the Arkansas Teacher Retirement System, where they managed litigation, compliance, and administrative law matters for the organization. Reed represented the system in a wide range of commercial litigation, including disputes involving hotels, shopping centers, nursing homes, and commercial real estate holdings.

Earlier in their career, from 2001 to 2006, Edwards was an Associate Attorney at Quattlebaum, Grooms & Tull PLLC, a prominent law firm in Arkansas. In this role, they handled various litigation cases, including complex commercial matters, business torts, real estate and construction defect litigation, insurance coverage disputes, environmental matters, toxic tort defense, and products liability defense. Reed also defended multiple mass-tort lawsuits and putative class actions.

Edwards began their legal career in 1997 as a Federal Law Clerk for the Honorable James M. Moody, Sr. at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Reed served in this role for two years before moving on to other opportunities.

Reed Edwards has a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law. Prior to attending law school, they completed a Bachelor's Degree at the University of Arkansas, majoring in Natural Sciences with an emphasis in Chemistry and Microbiology.
