Zakki Ghauri

Zakki Ghauri has extensive work experience in various roles related to IT and digital management. Zakki is currently serving as the Director - Digital & IT at both the City of London Corporation and the City of London Police. Previously, they held the position of Director of IT at the London Borough of Redbridge, where they served from September 2021 to October 2022.

Before that, Ghauri worked at Westminster City Council as the Head of Service - IT for over five years, during which they implemented Cyber Security principles and processes and reduced the Freedom of Information backlog. Zakki also served as a Portfolio Manager at Hammersmith & Fulham Council, where they managed a major transformational portfolio and achieved significant cost savings.

Their earlier experiences include roles such as Program Manager at Croydon Council, Management Consultant at the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Project Manager at Wandsworth Borough Council, Data Analyst at Marie Curie UK, and Business Analyst at Central Saint Martins, University of The Arts London.

Zakki Ghauri graduated with a BSc Hons in Business & IT from Kingston University in 2004. In addition to their degree, they obtained several certifications including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2020, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2019, Management of Portfolios (MoP) from ILX Group in 2017, Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) from ILX Group in 2015, and Prince2 Practitioner from ILX Group in 2005.
