Katie Whelan

Katie Whelan is an experienced educator and lifeguard with a strong background in health and physical education. Currently serving as a Substitute Teacher at Francis F. Wilson Elementary School since October 2022, Katie also holds the position of Senior Guard with the City of Long Beach, New York, since June 2015. Previously, Katie worked as a Pool Lifeguard at Hofstra University from September 2021 to May 2022. Katie earned a Master of Science in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Hofstra University in 2022, having previously completed a Bachelor of Science in the same field in 2021.
