Todd Menzel

Todd Menzel possesses extensive experience in emergency response, marketing, and environmental education. Currently on a personal sabbatical since November 2021, Todd has served as a Recurrent Ocean Lifeguard and EMT for the Los Angeles County Fire Department since May 2005, ensuring the safety of beachgoers and executing rescues in challenging ocean conditions. Previously, Todd held various leadership roles at PADI Worldwide from 2010 to November 2021, including Global Marketing Operations Manager and Editorial Director, where responsibilities included marketing technology oversight and digital communications strategy development. Todd also contributed to the evolution of The Undersea Journal from print to digital format and has experience as a Technical/Educational Writer and Editor for PADI's subsidiary. Earlier roles included Environmental Resources Specialist for the County of Orange and Instructor II at the Ocean Institute, with a strong educational background in Environmental Management from Duke University and a BA in Political Science from UC Irvine.
