Karren Lane

Karren Lane currently serves as Deputy Mayor for the City of Los Angeles since February 2023. Prior to this role, Karren held positions as Program Director at The California Wellness Foundation from February 2021 to February 2023 and Program Director at Weingart Foundation from November 2018 to January 2021. Karren also served as Vice President of Policy at Community Coalition from 2012 to 2017. Karren's academic background includes a Doctor of Law (JD) from Southwestern Law School, a Master of Arts (MA) in Organizational Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology from UCLA.
