Rose Downs

Rose Downs currently serves as a City Council Member for the City of Malden, engaging in policymaking since April 2024. Prior experience includes nearly two decades at the City of Compton, where roles spanned from Account Clerk I to Administrative Analyst II, involving responsibilities such as budget preparation, administrative support for departmental projects, policy development, and management of a departmental budget exceeding $9 million. Additionally, Rose held the position of Assistant Financial Analyst at Medical Eye Services, successfully implementing financial systems and recovering significant amounts through collections. Rose holds multiple degrees in Public Administration and Organizational Leadership from National University, complemented by a background in Computer Science from the University of Missouri.
