Amy Howorth

Amy Howorth is an experienced public servant and consultant with a robust background in local governance and campaign management. Currently serving as a City Councilmember for the City of Manhattan Beach since November 2022, Howorth previously held the same position from March 2011 to April 2019, and served as Mayor during that time. In addition to their role in municipal governance, Howorth has worked as a consultant for MRG, LLC since April 2019 and has successfully managed multiple political campaigns, including those for Hildy Stern and Nancy Hersman. With a degree in Communications, Political Science, and Government from Ohio University, Howorth's expertise spans policy making, budget setting, community outreach, and public speaking. Earlier career experiences include roles in media as Photo Editor for Wired Magazine and Photo Librarian for WGBH.
