Kevin Tiscareno, MPA, CFO has a diverse work experience. Kevin currently holds the position of Division Chief of Support Services and Special Projects at the City of Manhattan Beach. Prior to this role, they served as a Battalion Chief at the same company.
Before joining the City of Manhattan Beach, Kevin worked as a Fire Investigator at Fire Cause Analysis starting in 2014. Kevin also served as President of the South Bay Arson Task Force from June 2022 onwards.
Kevin has extensive experience in the field of fire investigation, as they previously held the position of Fire Captain/Fire Investigator at the City of Newport Beach from 2002 to 2022. Additionally, they served on the Board of Directors at the California Conference of Arson Investigators from 2020 to 2022.
Kevin has actively participated in various organizations, including their role as Secretary at the Orange County Training Officers from 2020 to 2020. Kevin also served as President of the Orange County Arson Task Force from 2019 to 2020.
Kevin Tiscareno, MPA, CFO is currently attending the USFA, National Fire Academy, where they are pursuing an Executive Fire Officer (EFO) degree. Kevin began their educational journey at Katella High School, where they completed their secondary education from 1994 to 1997.
Kevin then went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Chapman University from 2004 to 2009. Following that, they pursued a Master's Degree in Public Administration from California State University, Long Beach, completing their studies from 2009 to 2012.
In terms of additional certifications, Kevin obtained the Chief Fire Officer (CFO) certification from the Center for Public Safety Excellence in August 2023. Kevin has also earned the Certified Fire Investigator (CFI) certification from the International Association of Arson Investigators, although the specific month and year are unknown.
