Richard Thompson worked as the Director of Community Development at the City of Manhattan Beach starting in January 1996. Richard also held the position of Planning Director at Rolling Hills Estates from an unknown start date to 1995.
Richard Thompson attended UC Irvine from 1973 to 1975, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Ecology with a specialization in Urban Planning. Later on, they pursued a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at Cal State Dominguez Hills, although the specific start and end years for this program are unknown.
