Susan Arntz is a seasoned public administration professional with extensive experience in city management. Currently serving as City Manager for the City of Mankato since November 2020, Susan previously held the position of City Administrator for the City of Waconia from February 2001 to November 2020. Earlier roles include Assistant City Manager for the City of New Brighton, MN (1998 - 2001), Assistant City Administrator and Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Chaska, MN (1995 - 1998), and Intern positions with the City of Shoreview, MN (1994 - 1995) and Hennepin County Commissioner (1992 - 1994). Susan holds a Master of Public Administration from Hamline University and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Augsburg University.
