Geoff Spriggs currently serves as the Deputy Fire Chief for the City of Maple Ridge since June 2021. As a founding member and President of the Archipelago Critical Incident Stress Management Society, established in 2005, Geoff has played a significant role in promoting mental health support for fire rescue personnel. Previously, Geoff held the position of Fire Chief/Director of Emergency Service in the City of Iqaluit from April 2020 to August 2021 and served as Assistant Fire Chief for the City of Langford Fire Rescue from 1994 to 2019. Education includes a Master’s degree in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University, a Fire Officer Certificate from the Justice Institute of British Columbia, and a Bachelor's degree in Sociology and History from the University of Victoria. Geoff's extensive experience in fire services and leadership demonstrates a strong commitment to emergency management and community well-being.
