Scott Hartman has extensive work experience in the public sector. Scott started their career in 2009 at the Township of Esquimalt, where they held the position of Director of Parks & Recreation for over a decade. In 2021, they joined the City of Maple Ridge, first as the General Manager and then as the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
Scott Hartman's education history consists of a Graduate Certificate in Executive and Organizational Coaching from Columbia Business School, which took place from 2016 to 2017. Scott also holds a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Organizational Leadership from the University of Victoria, completed in 2006. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from Simon Fraser University in 2001. Additionally, they have two diplomas: one in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Studies and another in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Facilities Management, both acquired from Langara College. Scott Hartman also possesses a Certificate in Local Economic Development from the University of Waterloo. As for additional certifications, they obtained the Columbia Credential Professional Executive Coach (CCPEC) from Teachers College, Columbia University in January 2023.
