Tara Berdej

Tara Berdej is an experienced recreation management professional with a diverse background in community services. Currently serving as the Recreation Manager for Programs & Community Services at the City of Maple Ridge since August 2025, Tara previously held multiple roles at the City of Coquitlam, including Recreation Facility Supervisor, Youth Coordinator, and Inclusion and Volunteers Coordinator from June 2018 to August 2025. Additionally, Tara worked as a High Five Trainer for HIGH FIVE Canada from June 2015 to December 2023. Earlier roles at the City of Coquitlam from 2007 to 2018 included Recreation Program Coordinator for Children and Youth, Aquatic Program Supervisor, and Recreation Leader for Youth Services. Tara began the professional journey as a Special Events Coordinator at Variety - the Children's Charity of BC from 2005 to 2007.
