Michael Mondor has extensive experience in the field of emergency medical services and fire service. Michael began their career in 2002 as a firefighter for the City of Stillwater, Minnesota, and continued to work in this role until 2011. In 2005, Mondor also worked as a paramedic at Lakeview Hospital. From 2006 to 2007, they worked as a MICU paramedic at Virtua Health. In 2008, Mondor joined the City of Oakdale, Minnesota, as a firefighter and paramedic until 2011. Since 2011, they have been with the City of Maplewood, where they first served as an assistant fire chief until 2016. From 2016 to 2020, they held the position of Chief of EMS, and currently, they are the Fire and EMS Chief.
Michael Mondor's education history includes a variety of academic accomplishments. Michael completed the Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program at the National Fire Academy in 2024. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) in Organizational Leadership from Waldorf University in 2022. In 2014, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Fire Science Administration from the same university. Michael also gained a Public Safety Administration Certificate from Hamline University in 2010, and in 2005, they pursued studies in Paramedicine at Century College.
