Marietta is one of metro-Atlanta’s unique and cultural cities, with two live theatres featuring three stages, eclectic art galleries, museums, upscale boutiques and an abundance of casual and fine dining restaurants. The hip and lively Marietta Square plays host to free concerts, annual festivals, a seasonal farmers’ market and other events throughout the year and serves as an inspiration to artists and a local gathering place. Marietta was named one of the 10 best communities in the country by the National Civic League in 2006. "Money" magazine in 2011 named Marietta one of the 25 best places to retire in America.
