Emily Lazzaro is a candidate for the Medford City Council, actively seeking to represent the interests of the Medford community with the upcoming election scheduled for November 7, 2023. Emily has held various positions, including Program Manager at Harvard University and Assistant Director of Donor Engagement and Stewardship at the University of Massachusetts Boston. Additionally, Emily served as Executive Assistant to the Superintendent at Medford Public Schools, managing administrative functions and supporting the School Committee. Early career experience includes roles in the Massachusetts State Senate and House of Representatives, as well as freelancing for The Washington Post. Emily holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Boston University, a Graduate Certificate in Gender, Leadership, and Public Policy from UMass Boston, and a BFA in Theatre Arts from Boston University.
