Richelle Oerlemans-Pierce

Richelle Oerlemans-Pierce, BPA-CS, has extensive experience in administrative support and communication roles. Currently serving as an Administrative Assistant for the City of Medicine Hat since July 2017, Richelle provides direct support to the Director of Finance and manages tasks for multiple managers, while also participating in the Municipal Budget Advisory Committee. Prior to this, Richelle was a Communication & Administrative Specialist at the Sexual Assault Response Committee from December 2014 to July 2017, overseeing social media, scheduling, and community education initiatives. Richelle's career includes various roles at Medicine Hat College, where responsibilities ranged from student financial aid assistance to research support. Richelle held leadership positions such as Vice President of Student Life at the Students' Association of Medicine Hat College, facilitating significant event planning and representation of over 2,500 students. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Professional Arts Degree in Communication Studies from Athabasca University and a Diploma in Administrative Office Management from Medicine Hat College.
