Michael Warmuth has a diverse work experience in various roles related to emergency services. Michael started as a Volunteer/Part-time Firefighter in multiple organizations from 1993 to 2005. Later, they joined the Eagle River Fire Protection District and served as a Firefighter/Engineer from 2000 to 2005, then as a Lieutenant from 2005 to 2012, and finally as a Battalion Chief from 2012 to 2023. In addition to their fire service roles, they also served as a Member of the Board of Trustees for the Eagle Valley Library District from 2013 to 2018, where they were responsible for managing the library system's budget and assets. Currently, they hold the position of Division Chief of Health & Safety at the City of Meridian since 2023.
Michael Warmuth holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Executive Fire Leadership from Grand Canyon University. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social Issues from the University of Northern Colorado. Michael also has an Associate of Science (A.S.) degree in Fire Science from Colorado Mountain College. In addition to their academic qualifications, Michael obtained a certification as an Executive Fire Officer from the United States Fire Administration, National Fire Academy in August 2019.
