Al Frisby

Al Frisby has served as a City Councilmember for the City of Merriam, Kansas, since April 2011, focusing on responsible financial management, advocacy for resident viewpoints, and maintaining transparency in governance. Prior experience includes organizing for the JoCo MoveOn Council from 2012 to 2014 and serving as a board member for Kansas Families for Education from 1999 to 2011. Additionally, Al Frisby worked as a Biology Teacher at Liberty High School from January 2002 until retirement in May 2008. Education credentials include a Master of Science in Education and Biology from Emporia State University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Stephen F. Austin State University.
