MaQuade Chesley has extensive work experience in law enforcement. MaQuade began their career as a Police Officer for the City of St. George in 2005. In 2007, they joined the City of Mesquite, Nevada, where they served in various roles including Patrol Sergeant, Detective Sergeant, Range Master, Police Lieutenant, and Police Captain. Most recently, they held the position of Chief of Police starting in January 2019.
MaQuade Chesley completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Southern Utah University from 2001 to 2004. In 2016, they attended the University of Virginia, where they earned a Master's degree. Their field of study during this time is unspecified. Additionally, in 2016, MaQuade also completed a program at the FBI National Academy. From 2017 to 2018, they attended American Military University and obtained a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree, specializing in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration.
