Francis X. Suarez has served as the Mayor of Miami since November 2009, following a tenure as the District 4 Commissioner, where significant legislative achievements included the implementation of ShotSpotter technology, the establishment of a transportation trust fund, and the passing of Reverse Redline legislation targeting discriminatory mortgage practices. Additionally, Francis X. Suarez has held the position of Of Counsel at Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan, LLP since May 2021 and briefly ran as a presidential candidate in 2023. Prior to their political career, Francis X. Suarez was the CEO of Edge Title Company from July 2006 to November 2009. Academic credentials include a Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Florida International University.
